Emanuel Mirenda, Sicilian by birth, he grew up with rigid training due to his father's military discipline. After his University studies, he enlisted as an officer of the Italian Army, but he abandoned his military career shortly before the massacre of Nassiriya, where the belonging Brigade was sent losing soldiers in the attack.

With his wife Simona, he immediately begins to study the Torah, because he wanted to know the true identity of the Christian faith, and this way will lead him to discover his Jewish roots. Since 2015, he has been the founder and senior minister of the Messianic Jewish community of Andria in Puglia. At the beginning of 2019, Emanuel established the Institute of the Judecca Andriese active in the Judeo-Christian dialogue, bringing to light the Medieval Giudecca of Andria. He is a promoter of the historical-cultural heritage, and of the University and School activities in the Jewish quarter of Andria; in the same year, he published a historical-literary work entitled Storia Della Giudecca Andriese.
